As a rather newcomer, I feel that Fotoblur is such a different place for photographers, of all skills and sincere – I confirm for the “no competition”, but also for “tones of inspiration” -
A dream come true, as large photo forums are concerned ! Very well organized, but lot’s of freedom too – I am still very grateful to the person who invited me there.

As Mountain Middle School’s 8th Grade Math & Science teacher, I would like to take the opportunity to share a link to Khan Academy (http://www.khanacademy.org), which we utilize to ensure each of our students moves forward at an appropriate pace while simultaneously ensuring mastery of each of the concepts being studied by that individual student. While hardly a stand-alone curriculum, it serves as an invaluable resource and data collection tool for each of Mountain Middle School’s students. It is programs like this that allow us to keep diverse classrooms (with students at significantly different ability levels) intact. We find that Khan Academy serves as an excellent supplement to the project based learning model practiced at Mountain Middle School. It, however, made me think about lots of related questions about your last point in your comment, which is the same thing I have heard (and even said myself) as a reason why many have not joined Facebook… the late adopters.

Great questions! I’m all for simplifying the privacy policy experience – that’s not the point I find fault with. It’s that that this is the result of a technical architecture shift that compiles all of our data, and so we need to think more about what Google products we’re comfortable using, since there are so many, all collecting and ultimately now compiling information about us. Simple, legible privacy polices are great. But here it’s indicative of a significant shift in Google’s treatment, understanding, and potential use of all the data across nearly all of it’s products.
